Delirium

Freely inspired by Eugène Ionesco’s Delirio a due
Music freely inspired by J. S. Bach’s scores

Freely inspired by Delirio a due, late work by Eugène Ionesco, the performance is all interwoven with a bourgeois couple’s ridiculous arguments, within their home, whilst outside there is a raging war; all of the external events solely intervene as elements of disturbance. Interesting is the relationship with certain “condominium dwellers”, musicians and mad individuals. The music therefore is the setting, the reality that the characters are immerged in, through the notes of a bizarre Bach, played by the eternal next door neighbour, an unstoppable clarinet player, who doesn’t even stop in front of the gradual destruction of the walls of the condominium block.
