The Ensemble Madreselva proposes a music performance accompanied by readings in which the music animates the story and sheds some light the atmospheres and the passion that are typical of the Argentinean soul; the performance is inspired by the stories, the loves and the sorrows of the Argentineans who escaped from their country at the end of the Seventies, during the military dictatorship, when they felt the need to be more than just migrants.
Far from home, they sought to create an identity for themselves, recounting it through the melancholic arias of the tango song.
The texts chosen and interpreted by Matteo Belli have been written by Stefano Tassinari, Juan Gelman, Mario Benedetti e Alfredo Le Pera. The authors of the music pieces are C. Gardel, Le Pera, I. Stravinskij, I. Albeniz, Romero and Andrea Rebaudengo, who has written the arrangements.
