LECHAYIM CABARET

A small village from the mysterious geographic location, few queer villagers, many memoirs.
Every event is a pretext to enliven the square, to celebrate everything gone away and everything will come with the rhythm of everlasting music.

Hanging between two worlds (…but what will be the real one?), Dibbuk’s spirit (ghost) and two musicians from stars roof lead passing travellers, the Ivrì, through magic sight of lightheartedness and melancholy.

Tribute to the musical and theatrical Jewish culture, Lechayim Cabaret is a party, a dinner, a concert, a cirque, a microcosm of dreams that is forced to roam in search of a safe haven, an enchanted land, an encounter of tradition and culture in a sighed harmony.

Musics, primordial element in the performance conception, are either of Yiddish tradition and kletzmer or of cultured Occidental tradition, that is of author of Jewish origin lived all over the world.

Musics by Isaac Albeniz, Gustav Mahler, Gerge Gershwin, Kurt Weill, Hanns Eisler, Gerald Finzi, Leonard Bernstein, Giora Feidman and Roberto Pansera
